12mR World Championships

July 1-7. This event will be based at the
Royal Yacht Squadron, Cowes.

Founded in 1815 in London but sailed in Cowes, became the Royal Yacht Club in 1820 after the accession of George IV, who had joined in 1817, and it was created The Royal Yacht Squadron by William IV in 1833. Organised the very first America’s Cup race and starts and finishes many of the world’s greatest races. More history

Osbourne House - Queen Victoria's Isle of Wight home - party venue

To be confirmed, but may include:

  • Regatta Dinner
     
  • Reception at Osbourne House, the Isle of Wight home of Queen Victoria. Buses will be provided from the cross-river chain ferry terminal in East Cowes.
     
  • Prize-giving reception

Moorings & Logistics

For the World Championships and other Cowes based races, berthing has been arranged with Shepherd’s Wharf Marina, just up river from Cowes Marina. The two outer basins have been reserved. Details to follow.
